24/8 Event Recap

24/8 had the privilege of holding its last roving event at Eli’s Cafe and Bakery. To say it was less then amazing would be an understatment. Eli’s was a most amazing partner and when it comes to throwing a tasty affair they are tops.

Author Kim Strickland kept everyone engrossed and entertained and was so willing to talk about her experiences as an author, mother and pilot that the evening exceeded all expectations. We hope everyone picks up WISH CLUB, http://www.kimstrickland.com, her first novel, because it is definitely a good read and one you will pass on to a friend when you are done.

The Cafe and Bakery are open to the public and we suggest you check it out. The food was spectacular and I am sure the daily fare never disappoints. The cheesecakes that were presented were divine and there were so many varieties. What can be said about Eli’s cheesecake except perhaps the word perfection would have a slice of Eli’s cheesecake next to it in the dictionary or on Wikipedia. Once the cheesecake was served we could not regain our guests attention they were too buy sampling and then running to the bakery freezer or the counter to make their purchases.

We are planning the next 24/8 event and hope that you will visit the website and check under events for the next update. In the meantime, we are always reading something new and post reviews and visits with these authors under The Dish and Author’s Spotlight features on the site.

Till next time,

Falise and JoAnne
