the TV show and it’s adorable co-star Valerie Bertinelli who seemed to be the perfect and adorable adolescent that grew up before our very eyes.  She married and then divorced Eddie Van Halen and they have a child together, Wolfie.

Well she has a tell all book out now entitled Losing It.  She has been doing press all over the little screen so you might have seen her recently but she has also been in a recent Jenny Craig campaign and shrinking in front of our very eyes.

She is going to be making a personal appearance at the Border’s in Oak Brook, IL on Saturday, May 31st at 2:00. She will be there to sign her new book and if we are lucky reminisce a bit.  Lucky for her she looks the same so maybe it will be a chance to recapture a time from the past for a moment.

Also, Book Sense publishes a guide entitled Reading Group  Spring – Summer 2008 edition flyer.  In this flyer Luncheon of the Boating Party by Susan Vreeland and They Did It With Love by Kate Morgenroth are both featured.

Susan and Kate are both authors that have been featured on 24/8 and we would like to congratulate them for making the cut and being included in the selections.  If you have not read their books be sure to pick them up both would be great summer reads.

Barnes and Noble has the story behind book covers

We always wonder about book covers.  Who designs them?  Do people pick books by the covers?  How do they come up with the cover art?  Here is a great chance to learn more from the artists themselves at the new B&N Studio,  http://www.barnesandnoble.com/coverstory/index.asp?r=1.  Tune in to learn about the cover stories.
