Mystery Scene Magazine

The new issue of Mystery Scene Magazine has arrived.  If you love mysteries but have not had a chance to see this magazine you owe it to yourself to pick it up.

The magazine is published five times a year and usually disappears as quickly as it is published.   In fact my husband, a loyal reader of Mystery Scene, asked for a subscription as a holiday present because we spent so much time trying to find it at newstands.

The Spring 2008 edition features author Nevada Barr.  There are interviews, announcements of new books, stories, reviews and it is chalk full of features that will keep you glued to its pages for hours.   Once you finish it is hard not to rush to the bookstore and pick up some of the titles mentioned in the magazine.  So the best advice is to read during hours of operation of your favorite bookstore so you can purchase one, two or more mysteries.

To see what Mystery Scene is all about and to sneek a preview go to, http://www.mysteryscenemag.com/.

May 10th is National Train Day, www.nationaltrainday.com and I can’t  wait to celebrate. To get in the mainline feeling, I’m reading Murder at Union Station: A capital Crimes Novel, by Margaret Truman. Mysteries and Trains, what could be a better combination.

If you are at Union Station in Chicago on Friday, look for me at the Train Diving Simulator.
