24/8 Book Club

this is the perfect weekend to head to your local bookstore.  While there you can see the great offerings for dad or other special man in your life. 

Just in time for Father’s Day is author David Sedaris’s new book When you are Engulfed in Flames, this book will be sure to touch Dad’s funny bone if it is like David’s other books. 

If Dad is more of the murder mystery type you can pick up Jonathan Santlofer’s latest,  The Murder Notebook.  Jon takes his passion of art and new found brilliance as a writer and combines them in this series with lead character Nate Rodreiguez.  Nate is a sketch artist and his drawings are included within this thriller. 

If Dad is a Lee Child’s fan the latest Reacher offering has hit the stacks, Nothing to loose.  Or if you want to start Dad off on this series pick up the first of the 12 books and that way you will have started Dad on a great series and make shopping easy for the foreseeable future. 

If Dad is a dog lover then he will enjoy The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. This book takes us on an interesting and heartfelt journey featuring Enzo the dog that is our narrator throughout.   

If Dad was glued to the recent HBO series John Adams that hits the stores on June 10th. You can pre-order in places so that makes shopping a snap, just swing by to pick it up. 

It is always fun to go to bookstore under the guise of shopping for another.  Once there check out all of the new releases for summer and maybe a few that you missed along the way.
