On December 10th, The Reader, adapted from the best selling author Berhard Schlink will be releasted on a limited basis. It will hit the big screen everywhere in Jan, 2009.

Jane Porter’s FLIRTING WITH FORTY premieres
this weekend on Lifetime. If you have a chance to watch or record this adaptation of her book with the same title please do. The great news about cable is that it will be on again and again for your viewing pleasure.

An author and friend to the 24/8 community, J.A. Konrath, has a new book coming out on July 8th. Fuzzy Navel is the 5th installment of his Lt. Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels beloved series.
If you are wondering about the title and the drink reference, well it follows a theme established in the first four novels in the series: WHISKEY SOUR, BLOODY MARY, RUSTY NAIL, and DIRTY MARTINI. These books are available in paperback, hardcover, and on audio.

A bestselling children’s book helps to bring livestock to improverished rural areas
Beatrice’s Goat is a children’s book that was inspired by a young girl and her goat of the same name. Beatrice and her Ugandan family were provided a goat by the nonprofit Heifer International in 1992. Profits from the sale of the milk paid for young Beatrice’s schooling.
The story inspired a children’s book that a portion of the profits go to Heifer International so they can continue to supply more livestock.
