I think resolutions are a nice thought, though they rarely stick with us. We’re probably fortunate to have just one that we are able to continue for the whole year. It’s a good jumping off point for people who lack goals. I think resolutions are like dreams, nice to have, but they come and go.

Comment by Deidre January 27, 2009 @ 4:39 pmIt seems to me that my resolutions are often the same, year after year–lose weight, do a better job at housekeeping, be more patient, that kind of thing. Even so, I can look back and trace my progress in those categories. In other words, despite not reaching a point where I can eliminate those resolutions, I’m still making progress.
Comment by Karina January 28, 2009 @ 10:43 amThis book would be invaluable. Thanks for this lovely giveaway. I have never made resolutions but believe that the way I set priorities are important in achieving my specific goals. Perseverence is the only way to accomplish any obstacles in life.

Comment by Marta January 28, 2009 @ 3:39 pmI try to use the term “goals” instead of “resolutions.” It helps me because a goal is something to be achieved, whereas a resolution seems lost as soon as it is broken. I like to set a few goals at the beginning of each year and keep track of them on my monthly calendar so that I don’t forget to give them the time and attention they need.

I have been reading her workbook that she sent out to use for her on-line 7 day challenge and I really like the little notebook that you carry with you everywhere at all times. I can see how it is helping reduce my random stray/lost notes!

I have been living my life under a cloud. That cloud that stands between me and the sun is procrastination. I am missing out on things and feel my life is passing me by! (existing rather than living) I really think its time for me to push away that cloud and bask in the sunshine. Its a lot to take on, however, but the Change Your Life Challenge is inspiring!
