It is another book homerun before the end of summer. The story is all over the pages of book news sites, newspapers and magazines. It’s a People Pick and received four stars.
The background story of how this novel actually was completed is a beautiful story in and of itself. A first time author, Mary Ann Shaffer had finally put her novel on paper, a dream so many of us have. But before she could finish she died but she had an angel by her side. Enter Annie Barrows a children’s author, her niece, to complete what her aunt so lovingly had started. A true collaboration and a the result is a wonderful story that the family will treasure forever and the reading public as well.

I am definitely wanting to read this one – have you had a chance to read it yet?
Comment by Julie P. August 8, 2008 @ 1:32 pmRight now it is not in the 24/8 Fall lineup, but you never know. I have no doubt that we will see it soon at Booking Mama Blog. I don’t know how you read so many books, you are amazing and I am jealous.
