in Forest Park in conjunction with ChicaGourmets last night.  We can’t think everyone enough for their hard work and determination to make this a fabulous evening for everyone that attended.

Special thanks to House Red who served up some lovely sparkling wine and caffe DeLuca who provided the appetizers. And let us know forget the beautiful and talented Sara that provided the original piano composition for part one of our progressive night.

Elizabeth read one of her short stories from her latest The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted And Other Small Acts of Liberation and it was a such a treat. I can honestly say there was not one person in the room that did not chuckle while she read.

Next we headed to caffe DeLuca where we were treated to more wine selections and background.  Then the meal was unveiled and we had quiet the offerings and everyone was just delighted.  Centuries and Sleuths was on hand to provide books for everyone that wanted Elizabeth to personalize and she did so with such grace making each person feel a special connection.

We can’t sign off without acknowledging the following: Tara, Julie, Augie, Sharon, Don and Elizabeth for their willingness to put their heads together to come up with something delicious and delectable for our palettes and our minds.  Never stop feasting and reading.

If success is judged by the level of chatter, laughs and smiles in the room this was a ten.  We will be featuring Elizabeth Berg on the 24/8 site very shortly.

I’m very jealous — Elizabeth Berg is one of my favorite authors.
