October is National Book Month. This annual event encourages readers of all ages to enjoy books. classiclit.about.com/od/nationalbookmonth/National_Book_Month what better time to kick back and pick up a book.

Contact the National Book Foundation http://www.nationalbook.org/ or call at 212-685-0261 for a full list of National Book Award Winners and Finalists from 1950 to present. The list, in downloadable PDF format, includes the names of the authors and the year and title of the work for which they were honored.
